What is in the release build

Everything in the Ludo Fighters release build: online squads, 2 to 6 squads, 1 to 6 soldiers, talking soldiers, five weapons, target rings, Lumi AI personalities and living battlefields.

A day ago our roadmap said "in development" next to six players, bigger squads and talking soldiers. They are finished now. This is the full list of what is in the build we are sending to Google Play and the App Store. The game is coming soon to both stores; we have not announced a date.

Online squads

Play with people on other phones. Quick battle finds a table of 2, 4 or 6 players; if seats are still empty after about 15 seconds, Lumi AI fills them so nobody waits for long. Private rooms give you a 6-letter code to share with friends, and the host picks the battlefield, squad size and house rules.

  • You play as a guest with a callsign. No email, no password.
  • If your connection drops, you can rejoin your seat. If you are slow or gone, Lumi AI plays your turn so the match keeps moving.
  • There is no typed chat, only fixed callouts like "Nice!" and "Hurry!".
  • Tap any player's name to report or block them. You can delete your online account in Settings.

Our server rolls the dice and checks every move, so online matches are fair. The privacy policy lists exactly what a guest account keeps.

2 to 6 squads, 1 to 6 soldiers

Up to four squads play on the classic four-house board. Five or six play on a new six-house board, and Purple and Orange join Red, Green, Yellow and Blue. Before a match you choose 1 to 6 soldiers per squad: one for a sprint, six for a long war.

A real battlefield

The board now looks like a battlefield. Bases are sandbag bunkers with a foxhole for each soldier, the safe stars are shield bunkers, and the centre is a headquarters with a waving flag. Each of the four maps has its own terrain and its own air: fireflies and falling leaves in the Jungle, wind and sand in the Desert, snowfall on the Snowfield, and a slow searchlight over Night Ops. Reduce motion turns the effects off.

Soldiers that walk and talk

Soldiers walk from square to square instead of hopping, with footsteps that match the map. They speak: 39 recorded lines across 16 moments of a match, from "Enemy spotted!" to the last soldier heading home, with a speech bubble over whoever is talking. They also get nervous when an enemy is close behind and salute when they can move.

Target rings and five weapons

On your turn, enemies one to six squares ahead of your soldiers get a red target ring. After you roll, the ones you can hit exactly get a pulsing TARGET lock. Enemies on a shield bunker are never marked.

Each fight now picks a weapon: pistol, rifle burst or shotgun, a single sniper shot (more likely when the gap is long), or a grenade lobbed on an arc. It is still cartoon combat: no blood, a puff of smoke and a respawn at base. Tap the board to skip any fight.

Lumi AI personalities

In Custom match you now choose who you are up against: Rookie (still learning), Aggressor (hunts your soldiers), Guardian (careful), Strategist (reads the odds of every roll) or Commander (thinks a turn ahead, the toughest). Lumi AI plays with the same dice as you and never cheats. More on the Lumi AI page.

Sound and settings

Every action has its own recorded sound, each map has its own ambience, and music plays in the menus and at the big moments rather than under the whole match. Music, game sounds and squad voice each have their own volume slider, in Settings and in the quick settings inside a match.

A new home screen

The home screen now leads with Play vs Lumi AI, then Online squads, Pass & play and Custom match. New players get a short four-card How to play tour, which you can open again from Settings or the match menu.

Still planned

Not in this build: a friends list, power-up squares, a shareable killcam replay, more battlefields, soldier skins, daily missions, a 2v2 team mode and ranked leagues. They are on the roadmap, with no dates.
