Fair play rules

Every soldier gets the same dice, the same track and the same rules. These rules keep it that way, on one phone and online.

In plain words

  • Pass & play is a game between friends: agree the house rules before the first roll and let everyone take their own turn.
  • No cheats, hacks, mods or exploits. Play the game as it was built.
  • Online squads: respect other players, no hate, no harassment, no cheating. Report or block anyone from the match screen.
  • Found a bug that gives an unfair edge, or someone breaking these rules? Tell us at info@lacspace.com.

This summary helps you find your way; the full text below is what applies.

01The spirit of the game

Ludo has been a family game for generations, and Ludo Fighters keeps that heart under the helmets. Gun fights in the game are cartoon fun: soldiers get knocked out, vanish in a puff of smoke and are back at base for the next push. Nobody should leave a match feeling bullied.

These rules form part of our terms of use. They are short on purpose: play to win, play fair, and be someone others want to play with again.

02Pass & play: one phone, good manners

In Pass & play, friends share one phone and take turns. With hot-seat on, the far side's dice panel flips so whoever is opposite can read it. A few habits keep it friendly:

  • Agree the house rules first. Need a 6 to leave base, extra turn on a 6, three 6s forfeit, exact roll to get home, one die or two: set them in Custom match before anyone rolls, and don't change them mid-game.
  • Roll your own dice. Each player taps for their own turn and picks their own soldier.
  • Hands off the board on someone else's turn. Tapping the board skips a gun fight animation, so let the shooter enjoy the moment.
  • Win well, lose well. Every knocked-out soldier respawns. The match isn't over until the last soldier is home.

03No cheats, mods or exploits

You agree not to:

  • use, make or share modified versions of the game, cheat tools, hacks or anything that changes dice rolls, moves or results;
  • use bots, scripts or macros to play for you (Lumi AI is the only computer player);
  • tamper with the game's files or storage to change how it plays;
  • knowingly use a bug to win, or share how to do it, instead of reporting it to us.

Found a bug that gives someone an unfair edge? Thank you. Please report it privately to info@lacspace.com rather than posting it publicly, so we can fix it for everyone.

04Online squads

How online play stays fair

In Online squads our server rolls the dice and checks every move, so a modified app can't change a roll or make an illegal move. If a player is slow, drops out or leaves, Lumi AI plays their turn. There is no typed chat: players talk with fixed callouts only.

  • Respect other players. Trash talk stays playful. No insults, threats or harassment, in any callout, callsign or message.
  • No hate. Nothing that attacks anyone for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
  • Clean callsigns. No offensive, sexual or impersonating callsigns, and no pretending to be Lacspace staff or Lumi AI.
  • No cheating. Everything in the section above applies online too, along with deliberately disconnecting to dodge a loss, teaming up unfairly against others, or sharing an account.
  • Keep it safe. Don't share personal details, yours or anyone else's, and never ask younger players for theirs.

05How to report a problem

In an online match: tap the player's name, then choose Report (callsign, cheating, abuse or other) or just Block. Reporting also blocks them, and blocked players are never matched with you again. Our team reviews reports, and if three different players report the same callsign it is reset to a default name.

Anything else: write to info@lacspace.com with “Fair play” in the subject. Tell us what happened and when, and add screenshots or a short video if you have them. We read every report and keep the name of whoever reported it private.

If anyone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

06What happens if rules are broken

Breaking these rules breaks our terms, and we may take action against anyone distributing cheats or modified copies of the game. Online, we act in proportion to what happened:

What we may do online
What happenedWhat we may do
A borderline or rude callsignThe callsign reset to a default name
Repeated bad behaviourA temporary block from online play
Cheating, hate or harassmentA long or permanent ban from online play
Threats or illegal contentA permanent ban and, where the law requires, a report to the authorities

Think we got it wrong? Write to info@lacspace.com and a person on our team will look again.
