Ludo Fighters squadsFour squads. Sixteen soldiers.

Red, Green, Yellow and Blue: the four classic Ludo colours, each now a squad of four cartoon soldiers with helmets, vests, boots and rifles. Pick a colour, deploy your squad, bring all four home.

Four poses

From idle to home

Each soldier has four poses, and you will see all of them in a single match. The drawing is the same one the game uses on the board.

  1. 1 · Idle

Rifle held across the body. How a soldier waits in base and stands on the track between moves.

  2. 2 · Aim

Rifle up and level. Both soldiers in a gun fight raise their rifles before the three shots ring out.

  3. 3 · Down

X eyes, then a fall. The knocked-out soldier vanishes in a puff of smoke and respawns at its base.

  4. 4 · Done

A gold star on the helmet. The soldier has reached the centre and is out of the fight for good.

Home turf

Where each squad lives

  1. 1

    Base

The Red base is the top-left corner. All four Red soldiers wait there until a 6 sends one out (unless you switch that house rule off).

  2. 2

    Start square

The coloured square beside the base. It is also a safe star, so a Red soldier standing on it is shielded.

  3. 3

    The lap

From the start square a soldier marches clockwise around all 52 track squares, past the other three bases.

  4. 4

    Home lane

Five Red squares lead into the centre. Only Red soldiers can enter, and nobody can shoot them there.

BACK AT BASE

Cartoon by design

Knocked out, never hurt

Soldiers in Ludo Fighters never bleed and never get injured. A soldier who loses a gun fight gets X eyes, tips over and vanishes in a puff of smoke, then pops back up in its base ready to march again, exactly like a captured pawn in classic Ludo.

In progress

One soldier, or six

Squad size is being built: before a match you will choose how many soldiers each team fields, from 1 to 6. Win when all of yours are home, so one soldier is a sprint and six is a long war. Today every squad has four.

Soldiers per team

A one-soldier sprint

A quick match

A short battle

A long battle

A full six-soldier war

Boots on the board

Soldiers will march square to square, legs stepping and rifles bobbing, and call out what they see with a speech bubble: “Enemy spotted!”, “Watch your six!”.

Planned

New helmets, new voices

These ideas are on the roadmap. They are plans, not features you can play today, and they have no dates yet.

Planned

Skins and helmets

Soldier skins and helmets unlocked by completing missions.

Planned

Squad voice packs

Extra voices for your squad's callouts. The first set of callouts is written and comes with launch.

Choose your colour. Deploy your squad.

Ludo Fighters is coming soon to Android and iPhone. Read up on the rules now and be first in when the squads deploy.
